this album came about because i wanted to experiment more with ambient music. i decided to drive around to places i used to visit often as a child and record the ambience there (my childhood home, a reservoir, a nature center, and 3 parks in my hometown). it ended up being a pretty emotional album for me to make. very cathartic though, and something i’m very proud of.
the album artwork is a crabapple tree in the yard of the house i grew up in. it’s much bigger now.
